An analysis of Neonomicon #1 (Moore, Burrows), developing into a broader analysis of framing in the medium as a whole.
With thanks to Scott McCloud, who I completely stole the "Ceci n'est pas une pipe" joke from.

  • This is a brilliant analysis but the video needs to be subtitled.

  • @badadvicegoodtimes Thanks. Subtitles are actually available. Turn on CC.

  • how do you you know this is his last comic? why? is he retireing or dieying or something? i hope is not true! i fucking love his shit!

  • @MsBickle76 He clarified the situation recently, saying that he's giving up on comics as an industry, not as a medium. In other words, he'll more than likely write more comics, but they won't be within the framework of Marvel/DC/ABC/etc. I think they'll be self-published or something.

  • i wish i could hear your commentary because i am having the same problem everyone else is having. i can't understand word one of what you are saying mate. maybe some subtitles would help decipher your mumbling. i truley am interested in what your thoughts are because i love this comic. hopefully your next video is audible...

  • @uberzone808 Turn on CC. Everything is subtitled.

  • Cool analysis.

  • Are you afraid to be heard by other people in the house? Or maybe you're doing these video's at an ungodly hour. Either way, you cannot be heard. Project your voice man.

  • @AllyourbasicGerrard my bad, i see that now. cool video by the way :) i'm reading issue one looking at all the frames you mentioned....

  • You seem really perspicacious, Mumbly Joe, but maybe you can speak a bit louder in your next video.
