you didn't get less power because of characteristics of the batteries. lipo batteries more powerfull than ni-mh.

But isn't the stock motor getting less power then?
I heard of people that buy a Lipo battery (7.4V) and a Race 300.

one cell lipo battery : 3,7V
two cells lipo battery : 7,4V
three cells lipo bat. : 11,1V
...
if you want to use a lipo battery instead of 7 cells ni-mh battery, you must use 2 cells lipo battery.
