8-Year-Old Emmie so far has had 7 open heart surgeries, cardiac arrest, strokes, and severe neurological damage. She uses a wheelchair, can no longer eat or drink, and requires meds every 2 hours, as well as continuous feeds, through her G-J feeding tube in her tummy.
She is presently in a body cast, and will be for at least the next 18 months, to heal several compression fractures in her spine, due to severe bone issues.
