The Government Accountability Office testified before Congress (3/25/09) on a report of ineffective and inconsistent enforcement of the nation's wage and hour laws.
To be honest, the worlds worst (and typical for government) customer service is not my primaru concern with free (make your neighbor pay) health care. How about all of your medical records in a government database? (and you thought Bush violated your privacy because you make so many calls to overseas terrorists) Daschle even warns of the "sacrafices" we need to pay for nationalized healthcare. A federal board decides what treatments are approved. Google: daschle book healthcare rationing
Ohh the idea of a bureaucrat being critical of the bureaucracy, while the health insurance industry is so far up his ass he can't see straight. We don't need government run anything, we need government regulated private industries.
No $20 apsirins, no free medicare motorized wheelchairs so your fat lazy ass can get lazier. And get Kavorkian on the horn because running up hundreds of thousands on "end of your line" care is absurd. People need to just say good bye.
look at it this way. soon, there are going to be a whole lot of laid off but competent people, available to run the system. try to be optomistic. i know, i know, it's difficult at first. what? you think it's only construction and waiters being laid off. auto workers? whole corporate bureaucracies will be idle. come on. lots of people who might just be honest and productive for once. because, damn, they NEED that job. motivation. i hope it catches on. enthusiasm, too. it'd be nice.
I am not now or have ever been a union worker. I have seen family members be saved by union activities. And it will take more than money to fix the government. It will take congress critters with brains to understand how their insipid rants do not help.
Term limits for all of them!

why not respond directly to me?
whats shocking is that you dont see the connection between his largest contributor and the arguments hes making.
furthermore, take a look at who else they are contributing to, and the arguments they are making...its not just doctors.
and not just repubs...but both parties members act on behalf of the corps/special interests that fund their campaigns.
shocking isnt it...

Golly, mcalien, who would have ever thought that an actual PHYSICIAN might get hefty contributions to his campaign from the health industry.
Yep... you've sure come up with a SHOCKER there!

hes disingenuous because 41% (500k) of his 2006 campaign contributions came from the health industry...and another 500k in 2008.

hmm...government bureaucrats or insurance companies? tough choice that americans need to have an honest debate about.
but just for fun...lets take a look at tom price
41% or $580,200 of his campaign contributions in 2006...
41% or $528,451 of his campaign contributions in 2008 ....
came from....you guessed it.
the health industry.

hmm...no wonder why he thinks its a terrible idea to cut insurance companies out of the loop.
