  • Not excatly as Ferrari more like an old Kawa Z 650 with Kerker exhaust-

  • Hey killer73 i have a 78' cb750 ss that i think might have the same problem. what is it exactly??

  • Hello Fishinman89.

The problem is the chain in the bottom of the engine. It is getting loose and there is no possibillity to tighten this. It has to be changed. Dismanteling the whole engine.

    Change chain and reverse.

  • Thanks for your comments.

It did sound nice without the exhaust.

But someone else is now the owner of this bike. It had to let it go because there were a big expense in near future due to the chain in the bottom of the engine. Some 1000 $ so I sold my Honda.

  • The costs of replacing primary chain in this engine are: 170USD for the chain with shipping from Australia to Europe (I was lucky, I found one on eBay), 100USD for full gasket set with shipping from Canada to Europe, 35USD for seal kit. That's the basic costs if you do it by yourself.

  • sounds like a ferrari or something :P

  • I have an '82 CB650 that's so quiet, friends have joked that it's electric. Once, I took the mufflers off to clean the engine and when I started it up, the roar gave me a lump in my pants. Front AND back!!!!

  • I have seen timing chains changed by pulling a link apart, attaching he new chain to the end of the old one, rotating the engine till all the new chain is in place, then putting the chain back together.

  • Oh ok man. Thanks

  • One of the only CB750s sounds i really like :D
