dude ur gunsmith kinda jacked u cuz that barrel is worth like 160-200 brand new depending on the barrel if it chrome lined or not and $50 to change ur barrel out and put on a new gas block is a lot man i would have done it for free its like a 10 minute job if that and anyone can do it. so he basically got a barrel he could sell for like close to $150 for just taking it off ur gun and giving u 2 pmag he prob spent like 12 bucks on tops. ouch dude

What is the barrel length on that rifle?

Hey man nice looking ar. Im planing on building one. Not sure if i want to go with a light weight barrel or not tho. Is it as strong? Also is it a big difference in thickness?

@APatrioticRebel the biggest thing i've noticed is the weight for sure, and cool down time is really fast on lightweight barrels, after rapid fire. like i've said in pt:1, a heavy barrel would be sweet in a 20inch ar 15. i don't like heavy carbines, i think it defeats the definition of the word. plus i have to carry it.

love the looks of your gun. Im looking at getting an bushmaster ar15 and doing black/dark earth. do you have any suggestions on ar15 markers ? i live in canada and can only own semiautos unless i start competing an then i can get fully automatics

@Captmorgann well i don't know anything about canadian gun laws and the ar 15... but as far as manufacturer's go, almost anyone with a forged lower should be good. this gun is a olympic arms and i don't recommend there products.(lots of fitment issues) i'm building a DEL-TON ar 15, but i'm still having some problems with products and customer service. so i don't recommend them either. i have used a lot of DPMS parts that were all great! so the next lower i buy will be from them.
