I wonder if the guy who did the 'Blade Runner' movie and maybe even George Lucas we're inspired by this piece. The character is like-a Sodom and Gomarrah type investigator , judge, jury, all rolled into one. There are one or two parts that can be easily fast-forwarded, but overall it can be an inspiring soul searcher of a movie.
(even the horses are great actors - one scene where the horse had just been shot and slightly over-acts putting up his leg is pretty funny)

I remember watching this for the first time... I had tears of fear and anxiety when this ending came on screen(mainly because of the music) !

@heidivonz its jsut hard to tell if he is actually a ghost so to speak or if he never died and then u could always say maybe its a relative of his but the problem iv always had was how do the towns people not remeber his face i dont get that.

such a thought provoking movie, people continue to find nuance and speculation thirty years later. this is how you define "classic."
