@tony2329 (sorry, I know I'm replying to a v. old post) You're right that the Ants didn't 'rename themselves The Monochrome Set', but two members of early Ants line-ups did subsequently form/join TMS (tho I'm not about to claim an encyclopaedic knowledge of the dates/order of events/order of line-ups): Lester Square and Andy Warren were both pre-chart Ants, but later part of TMS.
@StarsManny It was indeed originally 'Nazi' (Adam in puerile-humour mode). When Adam made it big, the word was then overdubbed to 'nasty' – quite ineptly – for the B-side of one of his chart singles, resulting in the excruciating spectacle of Legs & Co (or whoever) dancing, in 'sexy' German outfits, to the 'censored' version on TOTP. I almost got into trouble by writing a ranting letter to R1's Kid Jensen about it, which he read out on air (sounding faintly perplexed!
Yeah, the original lyrics were 'Nazi' instead of 'nasty'. IIRC the vocal was re-dubbed on the original (from the 'Jubilee' OST) before being issued as a single around 1982.
The B-side - 'Plastic Surgery' , also lifted from the same soundtrack - is a great track as well, IMO.
Saw a play with this as soundtrack. Sweet.

@toteH0se I think it was originally "nazi" but they changed it for some releases (other commentors here are saying the same thing).
This song was from back in the day when some pop stars thought it was cool to make nazi references in their songs.
