That was like a flashback for me...I miss my old town but not the rain..I used to always take that route through harras moor into town too...man I miss hills!
Love the music. Was just there the beginning of December. Nothing has changed. I left there in 1993, live in New York now but every now and again I get the calling of marra land
Well it isn't the most aesthetically pleasing town on the eye but i've seen a heck of a lot worse. Even though I now live in California, I was born in Whitehaven and despite having gone back dozens of times over the years (although only twice in the last 16 years) it was good seeing it again. Nice music too! :)
get a big saw, cut whitehaven off england, take it out to sea and sink it. the place is owned by slaves of bnfl conforming to everything they say, really really poor place to live.....oh and the councillers are always open to bribes and back handers....i can name them and give dates to back this up.
wow, this video actually made me home sick for the first time in years.
I haven't lived in Whitehaven since i was 18 (left 1993) and only been back a few times since. Makes me want to go back, even if it's only to go see if Kinty still works in the Chinese restaurant, get a curry at Ali Taj, and grab a pint at the Wittington Cat.
Really lovely people in whitehaven, much more nicer than the people where i live (Devon) but the town is dead, its always a shock when i visit. Town centre cant be changed due to the buildings being listed, so in return the town centre is dying, while workington is thriving.
I worked in Whitehaven between Sept 1986 and Jan 1991 - first job out of university. This brings so many memories flooding back. Not least of the endless rain! I see there have been some changes (depressingly, a McDonald's and a supermarket where, I think, The Playground used to be). Great backing track. The drops on the windscreen really add to the atmosphere. I must go back soon for old time's sake.
