In summer of 2011, 20 Nepalese students from various colleges in Kathmandu and 13 Americans from University of Wisconsin-Madison spent five days in Shikharpa staying with host families and contributing to shramadana. The shramadana helped initiate building of new three rooms for local Saraswati School. The new structure will be built using earth bag method. During their stay the students helped dig the foundation, stuff bags with mud, sew the bags - which will make the walls and other structures.
