@GRATE31 this car is a compact btw, not a mid-size........

When they redesigned it in '07 it was a giant step forward. Even if you were unhappy with it it was miles ahead of the previous Elantra. I'm sure the next one will be miles ahead of this one too. Good advice. I've seen it and looks pretty wicked. Might look into the next Accent too- looks pretty sweet.

ok... have you by chance driven a Forte yet? That may be what I trade the Elantra in for.

@Trevrz1 no but they sound like really nice cars, hey go to autoblog and check out the next gen Elantra too, it's called the Avante in Korean markets, it looks like it's going to be really nice, the 1.6T engine is going to have the same power as the current one but be way more fuel efficient....so before I'd check that out too before you get a Forte, it's worth the wait I'm sure!

it's a great car- you're driving in the snow... how the hell wouldn't it have an uncontrolled ride or "slow transmission"?? Any front wheel drive compact without snow tires would drive like this in snow

@Trevrz1 it only snowed that one day and I drive FWD cars on snow all winter long, we had it on dry pavement for a couple days where it bobbed all around, and mom and I hated it...to each his own though, we just really disliked it
