Two things that bugged me about this awesome movie.

1. WTF was that Star Wars Care Bear thingy that Scotty had?

2. Why would you have to drill to the core of a planet to plant a microblackhole? Just placing it at the surface would do the same thing. That's why we are all going to perish with the LHC.

i never used to be fan of star trek, i was always a star wars fan, but this movie was coool :D and id defo watch a part 2

@LudicrousTachyon I found that there was no indication that Spock and Uhura were in a relationship prior to the kiss (which, as any drunken college student knows, does not indicate a relationship either). She was simply his student. Also, the kiss did not occur until after the destruction of Vulcan, the planet on which his betrothed resided. I believe death is a good excuse for the annulment of an arranged marriage, so really, the movie does not disregard canon at all.
