  • Thank you so much for the information, tktru! The Goma I participated in had something to do with "wishes". They had us write our wishes on small wooden slats that the monk then burned during the ceremony. I remember some of the chant, though I don't know what the words meant, nor the correct spelling for them. If I post some of the words, perhaps you could tell me what chant it is. No room here, so I'll make another comment.

  • It depends on who the Goma is dedicated to. Most of the Goma services that take place usually recite the Heart Sutra (Hannya Shingyo)

  • There was a Goma performed at Burning Man in 2005. I was blessed to have witnessed it. It was very beautiful, and very spiritual. Do you by chance know where I can get a copy of the prayer/chant that is said during the Goma ritual? Thanks for any help you can offer.
