@ilovesheenaeaston actually the "Demo" version was so good. that they didn't do a thing for the movie and remained untouched. if you notice the version on the US 12" Angel Maxi-Single and the Into The Groove Single overseas is a bit different.

I want a high quality version of this mix its been killing me years trying to find it. This totally smashes all album and single versions. I remember seeing this in the CINEMA that shows how old i really am haha. But this mix is just badman !

@Juny2008 True, it still is the demo version, as that is the version Susan Seidelman used for the movie!

@ilovesheenaeaston Exactly, this is not a demo at all, just the DSS version, which has a better beat than the version that ended up as a single/b-side to Angel and on the European version of the LaV album.

@ilovesheenaeaston Back in '85 the director heard the demo of "Into the Groove" and decided to put it in the movie... but still the demo though... there's a whole interview about the making of the movie and was aired on Vh1 a few years ago.

@treg1980 you're wrong. the demo was used for the DSS movie. and second of all...the revised version released is WAY better than this demo..it has more energy.
