"Tequila" Some pretty good double and triple tonguing by Frank Noonan as well as great soloing by Jeff Dunn and Dennis Nobrega. Phil Vitali is masterful at leading the group from rock and swing!
The JQ Jazzlinks Quartet recorded this song on May 16, 2010 with Frank Noonan on "bass trumpet" (marching trombone), Jeff Dunn on vocal and keyboard, Dennis Nobrega on tenor saxaphone, Courtney Smith on alto sax and Phil Vitali on drums.
"Tequila" is a 1958 rock instrumental by the band The Champs. The title of the song constitutes the entire lyrics, and is spoken three times during the song. Heavily referenced in American popular culture, "Tequila" became a number-one hit on both the pop and R&B charts at the time of its release, and remains popular amongst fans of the golden age of rock and roll, but the band was a one-hit wonder.
