Openly lesbian Lutheran pastor Dawn Roginski was ordained and installed as Pastor of Parish Programs at St. Francis Lutheran Church on Saturday, June 16, 2007 with the support of Lutheran Lesbian & Gay Ministries and the Extraordinary Candidacy Project.
St Francis parish has been reinstated into the synod and the lesbian pastors are in good standing with their bishop now that the ELCA has recognized gay clergy and gay marriage.

This is indeed heresy. God is the Father, and Mary, the holy virgin, is the Mother of God. But she is not a part of the Trinity, therefore this is heresy.
But otherwise: she is an ordained pastor, not an properly ordained priest, ordained by the laying of hands of a bishop in apostolic succession..however if gay she should live in celibacy.

God the father-mother, god made flesh? That's exactly how Jesus referred to GOD THE FATHER and himself in the gospels, right? Not on your life! This is straight apostacy! This church puts their will and practices above God's and will incur His judgement upon themselves. Please don't lump all Lutherans into this bunch. There are still synods that are 100% scriptual and confessional (e.g. Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, WELS, and the AALC). What a shame to see them damming their salvation.

Apostates. Clearly Hell bound.

Regardless of what one thinks of gay ordination or gay marriage, a church that gets sucked into political and social issues abandons Transcendence and has no authority to speak for that which is beyond the world system.

The ELCA is heading down the same path now to apostasy! The Bible clearly teaches the qualifications of an "overseer" be a HUSBAND of ONE WIFE. So having women in the office of public ministry is a heresy to begin with and NOT orthodox. This makes me sick as a Christian.

Home church is the trend.

I think one key reason for this wickedness is the thinking that salvation comes through baptism and not personal acknowledgement of Jesus Christ as Lord. We have to lean on Jesus, not baptism or confirmation class as a means of salvation. Even if I say my salvation came from Jesus through baptism, deception has occured. No salvation, no Holy Spirit. No Holy Spirit, no conviction. Probably the bigger key factor for these issues is the ELCA's take on God's Word. The anti-inerrant take.
