@cartman577 what a perfect response with imperfect numbers. Where are you getting your information from wikipedia? Lets assume the 5.5 trillion dollars of debt you claim is held by our government is correct. How is that possible? We owe the debt to ourselves?That statement is ignorant. The government takes money out of social security, and retirement plans, which is rightfully stolen from working americans and corporations to then be used for other things. Ponzi scheme even better!!

Okay nmartind, few flaws with your assumptions. First, China holds about 800 billion dollars worth of our debt, which is well under 10%, not exactly the United States of America owned by China. Not to mention the fact that their economy is worse off than ours, given the massive housing bubble that they have looming. Furthermore, 5.5 trillion dollars of our debt is held by our own government. We owe the debt to ourselves! You should do us all a favor and read an econ book.

You should check again. I hear its called the elastic clause. Its gives government the ability to legislate. What a crazy concept. I'm sure if it were up to you there wouldn't be a government. My 5 year old child should be out in the coal mine without any protections whatsoever and die of black lung by the time he was 15. Go capitalism, lets pay everyone 35 cents a day and exploit the poor and underprivileged.

That sounds nice, but nothing in FREE. Taxes will rise, national debt will rise. Who buys americas debt? China.. We might as well change the name of the United States of America to the United States of America owned by China. It sounds nice to take from the rich and give to the poor; it also sounds like socialism.

the us gov are just stupid, people lose their houses to pay for health care. hello! this should be FREE. In the UK we are FREE heath care. The NHS provides free heathcare to all at the point of use. We don't pay for it. The man who lives in the subway and the man who lives in the castle both have the same right of use. Its mad that America, one of the richest nations of earth can't do the same for its citizens. Its nuts. Its immoral. And its disgusting. People are dying because of it

Funny...I keep reading the Bill of Rights and the Constitution and I can't find a single reference to the right to affordable or goverment funded healthcare. Last time I checked it was MY responsibiliity to take care of myself. Stay out of my life elitist government hacks!
