Rose clouds of holocaust -"This work was inspired by Mid-Winter and Mid-Summer visits to Iceland. (...) I experienced a spiritual epiphany during these visits in 1989/1990. The word "holocaust" is Greek for "burnt offerings" (normally of a religious kind) and Iceland is full of extinct volcanoes as well as active ones. Its volcanic landscape is the holocaust in question symbolizing death and rebirth. It has nothing to do with the persecution and extermination of Jews" From: http://is.gd/nOyW

Douglas P. isn't a Nazi or a revisionist, he just tries to shock people with songs like this one, but makes sure he can explain himself(the word "Holocaust" is Greek for "burnt offering")
Orrrrr he could be using loaded and powerful words to evoke visceral results without actually identifying directly with what we label "the Holocaust" as if there can only be one. The Holocaust puts an end to the festival, unless you consider Holocaust studies and belief in the Holocaust of the jews to be "a festival?"
If you want to read more on the subject check my blog Swing Heil, Friedrich! and find an interview with the Swedish DIJ cover band Down in June talking about Douglas Pearce

Rose clouds of lies
Rose clouds of bitter
Bitter, bitter lies
And, when the angels of ignorance
Fall down from your eyes
Rose clouds of holocaust
Rose clouds of lies..."
Obviously revisionist lyrics. They may not be Nazis, but they don't believe the in the great swindle of the 20th century, either.
Then again, the guy behind Death in June is openly gay, and a former member of an "Anti-Nazi" punk rock group named Crisis.
Still, collaborating with Fascist Boyd Rice, perhaps maybe he was a little educated with a lesson in Social Darwinism?
