  • I apologize for my comments. Uncalled for. You have your opinons I have mine. We do things very differently, but if it works for you, fine. We are not fishing commercially, we do it for sport and meat we can use without wasting.

My apologies as well for the comments. I agree that different people have different methods/procedures and you should do whatever works best for you. Hopefully we'll both have some nice new HD videos starting around July/August! Good luck and tight lines, sir!

  • Sory buddy, you haven't leanred enough yet. I've been a professional captain for 30 years and have been hi-speed fishing since the mid-90s. I've placed in Bahama Wahoo Championships and held 2nd largest fish for the season 2006 (maybe '05 I forget). Have already caught two dozen this winter and we always stop after 3 fish. All I needed was the one video to prove what you know.

Good work man! I hope to be able to fish the Bahamas tourney one of these seasons.

  • Nice try Nostradamus. The 3 hoos were all 30-42lbs (weighed) and I am the captain of the boat (also the wire man). This boat owner prefers the more sporting stand-up tackle. And if you notice, we never stopped forward motion. That day we caught 3 for 4, losing only a slob to sharks. We caught those 3 and decided we had enough meat and went bottom fishing. My catch ratio is upward of 70% whether I fight fish oin stand-up OR in rod holders.

3 Hoos to 40# is a below average day for the Bahamas. I do better than that fishing outside of Jupiter.

Yeah, I think we're good with all that...LMAO!

I've caught plenty of Hoos and have the videos to prove it. When you high-speed some more you will eventually learn the lessons I did years ago. Have fun!

  • If you ever need any tipson proper wahoo fishing technique, I would be glad to help you out. I only charge $350/day if we use your tackle.

  • @Mobee13

You caught 3 little Hoo's on a charter and now you're an expert? LOL

It's called high-speeding and if you continue fighting them stand-up with the boat in neutral then you're going to lose fish.

  • OMG How many of you does it take to real in a fish???
