no they are not. they are level, the cutoff area is usually uphill to assist with breaks, thus making it look like the rest of the track is downhill.

thats byron, IL its a 1/4 mile. You can see it on Speed every year when it has the wheelie comp.
the car went faster at GLD which is in Union Grove WI and an NHRA track.
