Weaving yarn by hand

Not sure if i'm doing it right, this is what i remember from 4th grade. I've been making a few of them lately and this one took 3 hours and 53 minutes. I'm getting faster with each one(:

Do you tie the 2 ends (the ones you weave through) under the card board or smothing or just leave them hanging?

i cut those off and just tie them in with all the others on the sides. i'm not to sure what to do other then that heh.

Know what you should do with the scraps of yarn you cut from the finished piece? I like to save them, you know, the finished piece looks like a pillow, so i guess you should stuff it with the scraps and sew it together.

Have you tried "Sprang" hand weaving? It's similar to what you're doing in the video, and it's beautiful. There are a few videos on youtube if you're interested.
