Let's Play Castlevania Order of Ecclesia #14 Oblivion Ridge & Gravedorcus

First Enemy Encounter;
Werewolf, HP; 184 / XP; 120 / Weak against; Slash, Fire, Poison, Curse /
{Strong against; Strike.
Stone Rose, HP; 260 / XP; 150 / Weak against; Slash, Fire /
{Strong against; Lightning, Light.

New Glyphs;
Sapiens Fio. Increases INT and the effects of magical Glyphs.


BOSS; Gravedorcus,
(Vol Macir, Vol Grando for Glyph Union, after that Vol Grando)

I can't pin down many solid patterns with this guy, so there'll probably be some mistakes in the info I give.
But here's what I know of him;

Gravedorcus has 6 different attacks, (The names are what I call them)

1.) Ground Sweep;
Gravedorcus sometimes sweeps through an area with his fin above ground whcih hurts when touched.

Solution; Just get to one of the two rocks and hit him with Vol Grando.

2.) Spitter,
A minelayer-like attack, Gravedorcus' head will appear above ground and starts spitting spiked orbs around which stay after the attack.

Solution; Hit the orbs with any weapon/spell to destroy them, this is a good opportunity to hit him with some Glyph Unions.

3.) Leap,
This attack only gets activated when your on one of the rocks, Gravedorcus will leap out of the ground and sweeps over the rock.

Solution; get right next to the rock, crouch and hope you don't get hit.

4.) Tail Whip,
Gravedorcus will appear right next to one of the two rocks and shatters it with it's tail sending debris flying towards you.

Solution; Either get out of range or use Vol Scutum.

5.) Dive Up,
This attack only gets activated when you spend a long time on one of the rocks.
Gravedorcus (seriously who calls a boss "-dorcus"?) will dive straight up out of the ground, destroying the rock you're standing on and of course hitting you at the same time.

Solution; Don't stay on the rocks for to long, keep moving.

6.) Great Leap,
When both rocks have been destroyed by Gravedorcus, he will appear on one of the edges of the arena and starts sweeping across, forcing you in front of him. When he gets near the other side he will leap out to try and get you and flies straight into the wall, rebounding a bit so don't get to close.
Gravedorcus will be wide open for a barrage of Glyph Unions and attacks, so wail away at him. After a bit of time he will dive back underground and two new rocks will appear on the same places as the old ones.

Solution; Pratice makes perfect, that's all the advice I can give that I haven't said above.
