Lyrics: Clapton, Whitlock
Music: Clapton, Whitlock

I was laughing, playing in the streets
I wasn't moving, I didn't know my fate

Playing the game of love but never really showing
I didn't know anything

I was a young man and I was sure to go astray
You walked right into my life and told me "Love would find a way"
Keep on growing, keep on going, keep on flowing, yeah, yeah, yeah

I was standing looking in the face of one who loved me
Feeling so ashamed
Hoping and praying, Lord, that she would understand me
And I didn't know her name
She took my little hand in hers and she told me I was wrong

She said "You're gonna be all right boy, whoa, goin' to take so long"

Keep on growing, keep on going, keep on flowing, yeah, yeah, yeah

Baby, someday baby, who knows where or when girl
Just you wait and see
We'll be walking together hand in hand alone as lovers
Will it still be me?
Time is gonna change us, Lord I know it's true
Our love is gonna keep on growing, growing is all we're gonna do
All we're gonna do is
Keep on growing, keep on going, keep on flowing, yeah, yeah, yeah
Keep on growing, keep on knowing, keep on flowing, yeah, yeah, yeah

  • I Jerry really grateful now

  • 187bluez - right bro, everyone knows that the BEST guitarists - like Clapton - only do perfect immitations of older masters without adding anything new. never got you guys.

  • Clapton is like "who is the buffoon?" FYI Dead sucks and always have been nothing but a crappy cover band.

  • @nyrichiek well, they *are* packed full of goodness! And vitamins!

  • @nlandess How do big salty chocolate balls taste?.

  • I so wanted this to be a great cover. And it is so obviously a train wreck. There is reason Phil decided to quit singing back in the 70's. This proves the wisdom of his choice. And the folly of listening to crowd chants...

  • Yeah it was pretty funny when everybody started chanting "let Phil sing".....well, they got what they bargained for: this sounds awful.

  • I love Phil, but boy does his singing on this suck big salty chocolate balls.

  • Why is there a photo of Jerry and Eric when it's Brent and Phil singing? Odd...but still GREAT! Thank you....

  • R.I.P Brent
