  • international between nwa and Delta is a joke. Delta began carrying passengers in late 1929 and its first international routes (to the Caribbean and Caracas) in 1953. nwa began transporting passengers in 1927 and it's first international routes in 1928.

It took Delta a total of 29 years to go from a crop duster to an international airline.

It took nwa 2 years to go from transporting US mail to an international airline.

  • I miss flying on NWA, I always liked that red, grey, white "Bowling Shoe" livery, especially on the 747's. The new delta liveries suck balls.

  • I was class 18 of 98 but only worked there until 2004 and resigned.

  • @nwaairlinkazo you where lucky my dad said that i flew nwa when i was small but i have never flown it in recent years. i wish i did because now i will never have that chance. Delta just isn't the same.

  • @747nwa I couldn't agree more! Nwa will live on through the people who care.

  • Northwest airlines is the best airline in the world and i am extremely unhappy with his merge. i have wanted to fly fro northwest for 5 years and now i will never get the chance. Goodbye you will be remembered.

  • @ohiorc , it will cease operations on Jan.1, 2010

  • No it's not, It's great! DAL is the biggest and best airline out there.

  • i wish we were given one of these for the TWA/AA merger...my dad was a TWA pilot since 1990, but because of the merger, he lost all his 11 years of seniority with TWA at the time, and was furloughed in 2003 and remains furloughed from AA today, although he is now at JetBlue. I miss TWA, and I will now miss NW, but at least their employees have it better than we did..
