If you're a christian then you have something in common with ALL christians, your holy book is the bible. You believe that the words in it are from god. This is how your god wanted the israelites to treat their children.

Yes, because we're all the same. Absolutely not. For you to make a blanket statement like that is the same as me or anyone else getting on here and saying that you, not being a christian, are the same as all the people who do not claim christianity. I'm sure there are plenty of people who are not Christians whom you would not like to be associated with. We are all individuals. To lump everyone into a group and hold them all responsible for the actions of some members isn't right.

Ah, I've noticed that a few people have brought up a few quotes from Leviticus, let me add a few more.

"For everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. His blood shall be upon him." (Leviticus 20:9)

"...do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. Do not wear material woven of two kinds of material." (Leviticus 19:19)

Here's another one for the folks who like to use scripture selectively to bash their neighbors: "...and the swine, though it divides the hoof, having cloven hooves, yet does not chew the cud, is unclean to you." (Leviticus 11:7) Hope no-one has had a ham sandwich or bacon...ever.
