At least the teacher got it. Sometimes they make it seem like you accomplished the impossible with those speeches. "Oh you finished high school, how did you do it?

It's an interesting perspective for sure... although, I wonder if you'd have received it differently would it have been a guy saying the same things.

That was awesome. Finally someone telling those kids truth. You are NOT unique and special. You are just one of billions. But with extreme luck and/or a lot of hard work, you can BECOME special.

Every jackass kid nowadays thinks they are special and entitled. They are in for a huge wake up call when they realize that they are just there to sit on the assembly line of society until they retire. Welcome to the real world, jackasses.

I agree. I like the fact that they get the stories correct, but I can't stand the injection of personal animus into their stories anymore. i.e., Cenk's discontent with Obama: He just sounds like he's whining instead of making an intellectual point, even when he is making an intellectual point. I prefer the Bill Moyers approach to presenting news stories.

e.g. the 14 year old kid on radio who said something like "I hate the sin, not the sinner" - they should explain (rationally) why that is vacuous logic, not just be exasperated.
