Glee - Auto Tune T Pain Vocal Pitch Correction Complaint

The FOX TV series "Glee" has a serious problem. EXCESSIVE/IMPROPER USE OF vocal pitch fixing!

Auto-tune, melodyne...whatever audio mixing plugin the audio editors are using it is making all of their singers sound robotic. And from what I can tell through all the fakery the actors on this show can sing so why are they doing this?

@kikekike1258 That was pretty much the point of the video. The Glee crew can sing, so let them sing. No band-aids.

I love the story/comedy aspect of the show. But the auto tuned singers pisses me off. Thus, this video was made.

If their voices sounded fine there wouldn't be 1,000 signatures on the petition linked in the description or 15,000+ views and 100+ comments on this video.

@detroitsdeadliest It's a flaw with an otherwise good show, and an integral part of it as well. If you don't listen, you miss half the show, and if you don't watch, you miss half the rest.

Also, Finn gets autotuned more than the other characters but still gets fawned on, for no apparent reason other than being a white straight guy.

@LaughJester9000 Yeah their Rocky Horror covers were not only bad but awkward considering the show is a high school setting. They seriously could have done without that show and the whole first part of this season with West Side Story.

@geespar1 No they actually are great live, have you seen Lea Michele on Spring Awakening, or at the Tonys? Sure, autotune shouldn't be as big in the recordings as they are, but they still are great nonetheless. You can only edit a voice so much if they're bad, which they aren't.
