Color blindness is the inability to see certain colors and predominantly affects males. Get professional tips and advice on living with and testing for color blindness in this video.
Even colour defficiency is not always a correct term becasue it emphasises what is "missing." While you may have heard that 8% of the male population in red-green colourblind, most of this portion do not have blindness to either red or green but weakness. Most common is deutoranomaly (green-weakness), and these individuals have adequate colour vision from the practical standpoint, and often don't even know about it until they are tested.
