last October I won the National skills competition held at the Hyundai plant in Montgomery Alabama. This put me along with three other techs from the USA in the 9th Hyundai Motor Skill Olympics held in Seoul South Korea Oct 2011. The World Skill Olympics is a contest that Hyundai Motor Company holds every two years. Many countries from around the world send their top technicians to South Korea to compete against each other in an Olympic style competition. They create problems with the vehicles (electrical and mechanical) and you have one hour to do your best at finding the problem. You are judged on procedure as well as finding the problem. There are five different areas that you have to tackle. Each area is worth 100 points. The top three in a specific area get medals for that area and your overall score is calculated to choose the overall top three techs in the world. There where 79 techs total. I won First place. Overall Gold!! First ever for the USA.

Thanks for sharing the video! I have people I want to send it to. We are still in awe of what you have accomplished. Best in the World! Not many people can say that about anything they do - much less about something so technically challenging.
