I'm not much for active pickups, but listening to Gilmour live sound with and without....I prefer emgs live.

Those are so sterile, lifeless and dull!!!!! (Sarcasm) I just love when people knock these pickups. Those adjectives need placed on their fingers for not knowing how to play. Great tone.

Excellent!! What I find so interesting is your similarity to Mayer's tone, when he uses underwound single coils, and you are using hot EMGs with an active system. Way cool!

hey man, sweet tone dude. I've been thinking about getting a set of these for my MIA or MIM strat. i know the clean tones are amazing but how does it go when you dirty it up a bit? how does it sound with some more gain?
