Monicah Wairimu was among the first accepted to the PATHWAYS Leadership for Progress Scholarship Program in 2005. She graduated in 2009 and has a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Kenya Methodist University.
The idea of Monicah's Water Project is simple: developing methods to provide safe water to people in her village of Elementaita. However, this simple idea has started the transformation of an entire community since 2005.

Monicah seems like such a wonderful young adult and leader. It is so inspiring to see her create two projects to help her community. You can see how fortunate the village woman is that clean water is available. Monicah will make a difference in not only her village, but her country, and the world.
