Otome-WOWid

バレリーナを題材に『乙女』を表現した映像です。
実際に撮影したバレリーナの実写素材をベースに、それぞれのデザイナーが思う「乙女」のイメージへと加工していきました。
「アナログ感」と「やわらかなイメージ」をキーポイントにして手書きで描写したスケッチを活かしたり、ストップモーションやロトスコープ的なアニメーション手法を採用して­います。
積極的にアナログな加工テクニックを用いるという課題は、私達にとって実験的なチャレンジであり、新鮮な制作工程と仕上がりを経験することが出来ました。


This picture expresses otome (a Japanese expression for nymph, or girlish-ness.), taking the ballerina as the subject matter. The source materials were actual photographed images of ballerinas, which were then shaped into each designers image of an otome. Focusing on the "analog feel and softness" of the images, we made use of hand-sketched drawings and adopted animation techniques such as stop-motion and rotoscoping. The active application of analog image-processing techniques had been an experimental challenge, which also enabled us to experience a new production process and outcome.
