What if a search for my business triggers "Did you mean?"

We are having this problem now. It would create a much better user experience if Google would display the results for the search term that people actually entered and asked if "Did you mean?" on the search term that Google thinks you meant. Right now Google assumes the user is mentally challenged or a bad typist and makes up it's mind to display what the user thinks it wants.
What if this happened at a restaurant? Here's your Chicken Bladder. Did you mean Chicken Platter?

i had it too, just solved it by adding my products to google base, and a couple of relevant links from other sites, yeah google ! It doesn't take much, just a few ideas applied simulationus to help google bot know your name is relevant

Couldn't this simply be fixed by simply creating tons of content on different sites that simply talk about it? If google finds a hundred or so quality sites with this phrase you'd think they'd recognize it almost right away.

I'd be hopping mad if that happened to me. There really ought to be someway of registering your brandname as a legitimate keyword.

im starting to think of google as a giant brain..

what's the business's name?
I had this problem as well, he just needs to get his name out there more.
Also, make sure you are in the Google Local Business Directory.

Work on your site and make it grow. The better your website ranks the lesser the chances are for that to happen.
If the other site is a mega corporation you are probably out of luck.
(but you were cybersquatting anyways ;-)
