  • That's actually wrong, birds have a horrible sense of smell. Birds are actually pretty good parents. If you see a bird that's fallen out of its nest, best thing to do is actually pop it back in the nest or as close as possible, the parent will still take care of it to the best of their ability.

  • Are you sure they have a such sensitive sense of smell? For what I know about it, the "don't touch" thing is true for some other animals (deers maybe?). Birds don't really rely on theyr noses much I think, why should they? They have relatively good eyesight
