I heard when you shoot somebody with a 1911 they'll explode into a billions pieces, and the after shock of the round will cause earth quakes and tsunamis killing thousands of Indonesians.

Yep, it tells me that I have a real gun.

fwiw, my 1911's run just as well as my glocks. 1911's being unreliable is overblown by the internet.

I got a true 1911, made by colt in 1934. It is a beautiful, reliable and accurate beast.

"I have yet to see anyone shoot on the move or one handed." You need to get out more then.

When these "custom" 1911 go down, can they swap out parts with another 1911? NO. Every video I see of 1911's on the range, it is shot two handed and static positions. I have yet to see anyone shoot on the move or one handed...you know, practical shooting like in real life situations where you won't likely be a perfect stance and more than likely shooting on the move and one handed. Try shooting these custom 1911's like they boost its purpose.

I went hunting for panda in China, the ensuing blast from my first shot of a big 'ol 230 gr FMJ created the Island of Taiwan. As the panda bolted, I went back to my traditional "accuracy by volume" way of shooting... those blasts created the Islands of the Philippines.

When a guy like Larry Vickers gives something his stamp of approval, listen to him. If you blow his opinion off, you don't know who he is.
