This is where you are wrong. What is art is not opinion based. That's what people who don't know about art think. Art is not simply subjective beauty or experience, its a lot more than that. Somebody can hate Beethoven's 9th but to say its not art because they think its garbage is ridiculous. You hating something means nothing. If you miss a certain message and simply see provocation in a work, that just means you missed the message, nothing to do with whether the work is art...

total miss for me, dont like von trier anyway, dogville was a pain to watch too, and i dont understand why this is dedicated to andrei tarkovsky.. this is no art just provocations

It's a hit or miss film. I for one thought it was really creepy and well done, if a little artsy.
