George Finlay, one of the first historians that wrote about Greece. He was an ardent philhellene, but he accepted theory of Fallmerayer that modern greeks are not descedants of ancient ones.

And contrary to your claims prior to the Greek revolution we have many records of Greeks, speaking Greek, studying Greek philosophy, and identifying as Greeks (albeit under the Roman nomenclature). The problem is some confuse the different demographics of the Balkans under the Ottomans as representing the Greek people. (sort of like claiming Jews are actually Arabs because under the Ottomans Arabs were more numerous in Palestine)

You are a mix of people too buddy. In the 19th century many alleged "Albanians" didn't have an albanian identity (in particiular Mustlim Chams) Albanians assimilated Greeks, Turks and Slavs just like other nationalities did.

Alexander was not Greek or Slavic but both of them are fighting who will steal someone elses history.Albanians don't claim alexander to be Albanian but many scholar academics who have good knowledge of the Ballkans do.

there are so many idiots in the world today that is why so many economic crisis. Macedonians today are slavic they came to the area after year 800 in massive immigration.Greeks speak Hellenic but the current Greeks are a mixure of Turkish-slavic-Albanian.That is why in North Greece people are white, Athens more middle east looking and in parts more like slavics.Greeks in the 17-18th century started to take all Hellenic and other histories in the area as their own achievements
