The seminar will focus on the question of how we can communicate faster, higher quality and more reliable information to patients.

Against a background of increasing life expectancy and rapid technological change, conveying better information to patients appears essential to provide them with faster access to high-quality and more appropriate healthcare. How could patients get more reliable and high-quality information?

Unfortunately medical leaflets and patient information leaflets are hardly understandable. Written by lawyers for lawyers. Therefore, patients are increasingly trying to find the information on the Internet; however, the information they find there is not always reliable, often only available in English, and heavily influenced by interest groups.
