  • @MusicCityMiracle I'll pass your question along to one of our medical experts and see if they can provide any insight

  • I fight hypoglycemia and I'm not diabetic. I hate that all information is related to diabetes. I had a endoscopy done testing for issues related to colitis and a tumor was found in the duodenum. CT scan shows possible insulinoma. I can't find any good help on any web site or group.

  • Nice little video. I'll be sure to refer to this in some of my battles to convince rednecks that people having hypo's shouldn't have a taser used on them just because they're 'apparently drunk', 'un-responsive' or 'beligerant'. Short and sweet.

  • I am Hypoglycemic but, do not have diabetes. I have a family passed trait of hypoglycemia. I was diagnosed at 2 years old when i passed out. I went to 2 different hospitals trying to figure out what its was. Do you know how you can get hypoglycemia when u dont have diabetes?

  • @FredMayX2 Diabetes is preceded by hypoglycemia. If you eat a lot of processed sugar, refined carbs, fats, and unheathy sources of protein, your blood sugar rises which makes your body produce a lot of insulin (too much) which creates extreme spikes and drops in blood sugar levels. This is hypoglycemia. Eventually, insulin receptors are worn out and cant produce insulin which causes diabetes.

  • @firehawkowner below 70

  • @FredMayX2 Good point however when a diabetic injects too much insulin they often suffer from hypoglycemia, and can be fatal if it's not seen to within an hour or so :) I think it only applies for type 1 diabetics like myself

  • I'm disturbed by the information in this video. Not any sugary drink will help when experiencing hypoglycemia (low blood glucose level) - it needs to have glucose in it like lucozade. Drinks containing glucose are faster absored by the system, as apposed to glucose rich foods like bananas. There are different types of sugar eg, sucrose, fructose, glucose that have different effects in the blood stream.

  • Great Videos. I'm glad to be able to see that you have the Best Youtube Selections here. Keep it up.
