What a great idea to close early on the day of the grand opening, and what a wonderful PR exercise for the Newseum. Congratulations to everybody there!

I am an employee of the Newseum. These people didn't wait "hours" to get in. They showed up at the last minute and demanded they be let in because it was free on opening day. They should be ashamed of the way they acted. The building closed early because of a special event that evening. The Newseum is a wonderful part of the Washington arts landscape. Visit us!

There were several signs that said closed. These people should have arrived earlier.

All these people need to freaking relax.... if they showed up earlier they wouldn't have been turned away. People always wait till the last minute and then blame everyone else. Geeezz there will be other days folks!!
