I bought one just recently, as cheap as possible, under £4 from amazon. Just so I didn't have to keep looking up YEC references in the web.
And you are so right, I read it years ago, but I had forgotten what a load of utter rubbiish there is in it, It's sort of folksy gossip, with bits of a rather chatty but somewhat huffy god stuck in to add a bit of interest, allied with legends asplausible as the voyages of Sinbad, and nowhere near as entertaining, and I havent even got out of genesis yet!

Yeah, I remember that feeling when reading the Bible where u start looking around at people (especailly religious people) and thinking..."WTF!?! WHERE the hell did they get THIS/THAT from? And WHAT they hell r they going to church for? paying tithes for? JUDGING people for? Judging ME for? THIS is what ALL the fuss is about?!?" It really felt like being thrust into deep space for a moment...and sometimes STILL does!

BOLLOCKS! Because I'm British! *show off your copy of the God Delusion to show how ungodly you are, don't hide it in your bag*

You lost your religion in the same way I did!

Of course he says wicked based on his own personal conviction. And when millions of us agree with him, in large part due to how we live our lives today, then it can be said to be wicked on the basis of culture. But absolute moral law? Hardly. Gor us non believers morality is not external to human thought, nor is wickedness. Right and wrong are human inventions, and our societies views on morality have changed since the bible was written.

Fact: If Jesus ascended at the speed of light, he would still be in the Milky Way galaxy.

when I said "the deck stacked in gods favor" that only counts if god actually wanted adam and eve to do wrong. What I should have said is that the deck was stacked against adam and eve to begin with. Of course nothing was really stacked against anybody - as the whole thing is fiction to the mind of the un-undoctrinated critical thinkers who don't have the burden of fearing hell if they doubt this old dog-eared book.

Aliens are far fetched - but not implausible. The bible is not just far fetched, it is full of illogical un-supportable, unproveable stories and happenings. (The physical asscention of jesus to where?? Heaven is not in the darn clouds! - only in cartoons). God has human emotions & faults..he regrets making saul the king of israel!! Regrets??? God made a mistake?? dear oh dear. (I did a video on this). I could go on for ages..but my character limit is virtually up.

Granted, supernatural events are a given when debating from the point of view of the god of the bible existing. Of course this does mean that a talking serpent can only talk if the power of speech was given to it by god. You'd think god would have known better than to deliberately throw temptation into the path of people who had no concept of what it meant to do evil until after they had done it. The deck kinda stacked in god's favor I think.
