And if you are cut off from society / the outside world, life loses its value and turns into a drag, because we are a social species. If the world goes on without you, you ARE dead, no matter if you are incommunicado in a prison cell or actually dead.

People also fear life in prison more, as soon as they know enough about both alternatives.

If you live in a country where everything is bad, like in the USA, its hard to understand why death penalty makes no sense. Except when you mention that in the USA every recent execution has been way more expensive than it would have been to keep that prisoner until natural death. People shouldnt go hungry or without healthcare, and for REALLY developed nations that is the case.

Firstly, How is life in prision worse than the poor people in America like ME who work their asses off to make a living and yet we go WEEKS Without food or Healthcare because we cant afford it. The life expectancy of Black males in prision is HIGHER than those not there because Prisioners have healthcare. And free cable T.V and conjical visits. Secondly there are drug dealers that get over 100 years. ARE THEY AS BAD AS KILLERS? Prision is easy nowadays.

When psychopath killers are placed in charge of a prison,this is these are end results.I heard he's a mathematical genius,the brain of his classmates.But his heart is flawed with the ideal of communism.Like they say,no one is perfect.We are all flawed to certain degree.We like to think of ourselves as a good wholesome human being,but others may percieved us as a basket case.I wonder what Duch think of himself,his actions and behaviour.Perhap he simply doesent care,the category of a basket case.
