We planted our aluminum tree in the back yard after Christmas 1968. It's now 50 feet tall and we love it, except that it attracts lightning strikes. I would be willing to sell aluminum seeds for you to grow your own.

I grew up with this kind of setting as a boy in Cocoa Beach Fl. back in the 60's

@dion1959 That's one of my favorite selections. Even though it is not a Christmas song it really fits the mood of the video, and I like your choice.

That theme song is one of the most perfect pieces of music ever made.

I wouldn't be surprised if that actually came with the tree.
this music is one of my favorites, but perhaps a Christmas tune might have fit better! lol (thanks for the vid, though... nice remembrances!)

@genoteleno Thanks :) I hear what you are saying about the Christmas music. I decided to be different and use the theme from a summer place. It's era correct and in a way a play on words/seasons.

My grandparents used to have one of those trees, It used to shock the piss out of you whenever you touched it.

Theme from Summer Place. Everytime I hear it it reminds me of being in our pink and white Plymouth that had fins when I was a young kid.
