The beautiful third movement from Winter Legends, a masterpiece of the British composer Arnold Bax.
The wonderful landscapes in this video are paintings of the Ukrainian artist Nelly Shenklyarska.

  • Stunning; sweeps you away. Fantastic!

  • Best I've heard all day :)

  • Here we have yet another germ for a symphony.Extraordinary!

  • I am actual relation to Arnold Bax, it makes me wonder if this is where I get my musical talent.. Truly brilliant and inspiring

  • @cruise332 Berlioz was one of the all time greats, the other two not so much. Bruch wrote 2 or 3 great pieces, while Bax wrote numerous interesting ones of interest to the connoisseur, though perhaps not the general public. You're right, though, you can't beat the real "Three B's", plus the one M (Mozart).

  • I hate winter but I love this music and paintings. :) Thanks. Makes the deadness of winter better to live though.

  • @unlikeanyotherhuman lol i love winter, n i really miss it! Here in Argentina we're suffering with this aweful summer weather D:

  • very pretty. But as David Hurwitz says, loosely quoted, "you'll know you've lost sight of the good stuff when you start to believe the three Bs are Berlioz, Bruch and Bax."

  • @BrucknerMotet "...a good antidote to use when one burns out on Debussy." LOL :)
