The Venezuelan governments attention to Carlos is not necessarily a humanitarian gesture, but Chavez owes him favours said Castilian, who found the explanation for this gesture as a commitment of Chavez, whom they say was funded by the Ramirez Sanchez clan.

Indeed, in late November, the Foreign Ministry of France, where Carlos The Jackal is detained , had to clarify that the inmate will never be anything but a terrorist. The claim arises from statements by Hugo Chávez, who claimed the figure of the prisoner just days before.
