It worked! it's like black frikkin magic man!

Tips to remember are to keep as much surface area as possible exposed to the air. Don't muck with it. The effect happens over a period of hours. Keep the lid moist. Don't put cold things inside, let it do the work.

  • Watched the series, this is a great improvised cooling set-up. Thanks for posting this.

  • @Ghostsquatter1 no problem man thanks for watching. Try one, they work real well inside during the winter when the furnace dries the air.

  • what do you think adding salt to the water mixture

  • @kalif151byccrew I wouldn't.

  • This is really good info to know, thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to seeing your other vids on this. You should put a small thermometer inside to see just see how cold it does get in there. Take Care :-))

  • @SurviveN2 I keep trying to find one. All's I got is an electronic one and it's gotta be triggered with a button and ahg! It keeps thwarting me and you know, you gotta keep it in there awhile to get a good reading.

  • @kalif151byccrew only the water would evaporate away, the salt would build up in your sand layer

  • @chaseme81871 No only fill it once and let it run all the way dry. It should last about 24 hours.

  • do you have to keep wetting the sand?

  • that is one of the coolest things ever!
