I noticed a few more humming birds than a normal winter day; I replace the nectar weekly and rotate the feeder during freezing weather. This is the sequel to http://youtu.be/dPRO9V7JMzA I shot a few years ago.
This is an Anna's hummingbird. There are resident, non-migratory population of Anna's up here from the Portland Oregon area up-into the Puget Sound area and even up into B.C. in lesser numbers. They are tough birds that are capable of withstanding cold temps.
