  • good advise, attacking the base of the pawn chain; it's all about the d4 square; bxc6 also opens the diagonal for the light bishop; a bad plan is better than no plan at all; with f4 couldn't white play it's B to f2? keep up the good work; instead of Qg3 how about Ne3+ winning the Q? ok i see you did not have to take the queen. Keep up the good work, BK

  • @tyrone0ferrara Yes your suggestion of f4 would have been an improvement on the game move. Black still would have had a small advantage but White would have still been in game. I could have won the Queen with Ne3+ but Qxg3 leads to mate. I try not to bog the game down with a lot of variations and try to concentrate on the theme of the game. One thing about chess there are a lot of alternative moves. Thanks for your comments. Dave

  • @TheSolipsist1 I always welcome constructive criicism but I think you need to watch the video again. Most of what you claim is not correct. It is not my intent to do a treatise of the French Defense. You are correct though that I am not a good blitz player, though in OTB and corespondence games I have claimed a few wins over 2200+ players.

FYI it is BETTER to play with a bad plan than no plan at all and if you do not belive me ask IM Jerry Silman.
