"Cars" is one of my all-time favorite films from Pixar and that's why I'm so excited to give you a peek at the vehicle testing for Radiator Springs Racers. This thrilling new attraction is set to open in 2012 with the debut of Cars Land at Disney California Adventure park. Vehicle testing is an important milestone in the development process and that means we're one big step closer to racing through this new land. Testing is expected to continue through the end of July, then the car comes off the track while construction is completed.
The bright cars you see here will each carry six guests through the twists and turns of Ornament Valley. Radiator Springs Racers covers a lot of ground -- nearly half of the 12 acres in Cars Land! Check out our video and imagine what this high-speed adventure will be like.

  • 2012 can't come soon enough.

  • They say 2012 is the year that the world will end. Nonsense, I know there is a God, and he happens to be a loving God, and no loving God would destroy one of the most awesome Disney rides before it even opens!

  • @vangiepirate Walt was inspired by Children's Fairyland in Oakland California and also a park called Republic of the children. Both Parks had beautifully themed landscapes. This is what Walt wanted. Not a steel carnival ride. I am sure his budget did not allow for the whole park to be themed. I would bet my life savings that if Walt saw the plans for California Adventure that he would not approve of it. In fact knowing how meticulous he was I am 100% sure he would gave that infamous no look.

  • @Bladerunner55217 Except for the fact that he Put carnival rides into Disneyland as well when it first opened. That's why he had lands like Frontierland and Adventureland to have beautiful landscaping and natural habitat. But he also had Main Street and Fantasyland for family games and fun.. And Disney imagineers try to keep it going as Walt himself said "Disneyland will never be completed, as long as there is still imagination in the world."

  • 2012 finally here! can't wait for summer!

  • why the heck are idiots talking about the end of the world? Is this the Middle Ages?

  • @trogdor404 whenever someone hears the year 2012, they immidiatly think of the end of the world, but its not supposed to end until december 21st. and trust me that wont happen.

  • Oh my gosh this is going to be amazing.

  • I believe walt would like this and I would completely demolish all carnival rides at california adventure and replace them with beautifully themed rides surrounded by natural habitat. When I saw the carnival rides for the first time I was thinking dam walt must be turning in his grave.

  • it looks pretty god actually. I wish they make thunder mountain into a roller coaster track with higher red rock mountains I mean it would be much safer than that death trap train that sits on steel rails !and also do the same thing with the Matterhorn. For the little ones I think they should take out the dumbo ride & the tail of the wale, Ferris wheel tee cups, and make a mini harry potter land with that blue car you fly like peter pan and then land and get chased by baby spiders!
