Now, this video is merely a brief overview of Amon_RA's latest recovery image that was released on Oct. 2nd, 2009. With the addition of a look at the European system dump from the HTC Hero version 2.86 build.

Nothing too glamorous, but certainly worth watching.

As usual, comments, questions, or concerns can be posted below and I will do my best to respond. I'm usually very busy on various other social-networking sites...so for those of you who would like to contact me elsewhere, feel free to ask.

Thanks for your support folks.

  • What's up folks?

Let me start off by saying that I appreciate all of the support lately. It's been great responses thus far. Now, if you'd like to make a request or something you'd specifically like me to "bring attention" to, suggest it and I'll see what I can do. Thanks.

  • Guys, I apologize if my replies are delayed...I have so many messages in my inbox. I cannot reply to absolutely everyone. I insist that people follow me on Twitter, it's easier for me to organize who has been help or who needs further assistance. Thanks.

  • I cannot post the link directly to a comment reply. However, I will say that...it's as easy on browsing XDA to the Dream development section...and RIGHT ON THE FIRST PAGE, you'll find his thread.

  • Why do the sd cards need to be partitioned? I'm not sure how to do that.

Also Swapper is for what purpose?

    Thanks

  • SD cards need to be partitioned on "the average" Hero build in order to "make up" for the lack of RAM the G1 and MyTouch do not offer in comparison to the HTC Hero. Therefore, creating a "swap space" or partition that is used for reading/writing data somewhere other than your on-board RAM, will speed up your device! As for Swapper, that's an application that can utilize said swap space by doing exactly what it's name suggest, "Swapping".
